GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Butler County Alternative Education Programs seeks qualified and compassionate High School Teachers to join our dedicated team in educating at-risk youth in Math, English, Social Studies, or Science in an alternative setting. As a teacher in our programs, you will play a crucial role in positively impacting the lives of young individuals by providing them with educational opportunities and support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree
* Valid High School Ohio Teaching License
* Exemplary knowledge of pedagogical best practices and curriculum
* Experience in differentiating instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including those with various academic backgrounds and abilities.
* Ability to utilize restorative practices and trauma-informed teaching approaches to create a supportive educational atmosphere.
* Knowledge of effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and focused learning environment.
* Experience in implementing engaging and culturally responsive lesson plans that align with state standards.
* Proven ability to model a positive image in dress, behavior, language, and attitude
* Proven leadership and organizational skills
* Willingness and ability to work as a team member
* Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and community.
* Proven ability to foster collaborative efforts
* Good organizational skills and detail-oriented
* Physically fit with the ability to perform restraints when needed.
* History of good job attendance
* Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable diseases.
