Naval Science Instructor
Position:
Naval Science Instructor (NSI) at Hamilton High School, Main Campus, Hamilton, Ohio.
Start Date: August 2026
Location: Hamilton High School, Main Campus, Hamilton, Ohio
Salary: Salary contingent upon notification from U.S. Navy.
Type: Full‑time, 12‑month contract.
Responsibilities- Plan, develop, and deliver instruction in Military Science for grades 7‑12.
- Coordinate and lead NJROTC program activities, including academics, drill, marksmanship, orienteering, and physical fitness.
- Provide coaching and support for cadet teams and assist with classes, camps, and summer leadership training.
- Participate in community service, field trips, fundraising, and other district events throughout the year.
- Accept a shared share of collateral coaching duties for the NJROTC program.
- Valid Ohio teaching license in Military Science for high school students (Grades 7‑12).
- Certified by the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard (E‑6 through E‑9).
- Retired or active duty Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard service required.
- Strong leadership and instructional experience with students.
- Ability to commit to a 12‑month contract and complete required assessments.
