Project Life Lead Skills Trainer
The Lead Skills Trainer is responsible for coaching and leading the other Skills Trainers in their program, participating in Lead Skills Trainer meetings, ensuring job report forms are accurate; assisting students throughout the day under the direction and support of the Project LIFE Instructor. The primary role of this position is to provide vocational training to interns in the community job site setting.
Additional responsibilities include providing support during classroom instruction and independent living activities. This position will require a strong ability to communicate effectively with a variety of persons both in and out of the school environment. Willingness to learn a variety of entry level job skills in collaboration with community business partners is a large part of this position.
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; experience or interest in working with young adults with developmental disabilities; willingness and ability to work with interns and as a team member; effective and demonstrated problem solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills; valid driver's license; willingness/ability to hold a valid van driver certification; history of strong work record, including good job attendance;
and documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
