Overview
Responsibilities & Requirements - The MRI Technologist performs high-quality MRI exams in a timely manner while maintaining a strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, including those related to research workflows. The role involves interacting with multiple patient populations as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team. Flexibility is essential, as the position may require on-call availability and holiday coverage. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities- Perform MRI Examinations
- Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort
- Administration of Contrast Media
- Maintain MRI Equipment and Safety Standards
- Collaboration with multi-disciplinary health care team
- Document and Manage Patient Information
- Research of Implantable Devices for MRI Compatibility
- Adhere to Compliance and Regulatory Standards
- Assist with Workflow and Operational Efficiency
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
- Graduate from ARRT accredited MRI educational program OR Graduate from ARMRIT accredited MRI education program
Required Licenses / Other
- Minimum
Work Experience:
One year of MRI experience preferred - ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT at hire (Preferred) OR ARRT in one of these Radiography (R)/Nuclear Medicine (N)/Radiation Therapy (T)/ Sonography (S) required and obtain ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT within 24 months of hire date
- Current BLS Required
