Contract Web Support Specialist
- Word Press Specifically (Short-Term Project)
We are seeking a detail-oriented Web Support Specialist with Word Press experience to assist with troubleshooting and optimizing our website functionality. This is a short-term project focused on resolving website contact form and email routing issues, reviewing employee portal functionality, and conducting a quality assurance audit of website content and links.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and correct website contact form/email routing issues to ensure inquiries submitted through the website are delivered to the appropriate recipients.
- Review and troubleshoot existing Word Press plugins and website configurations related to form submissions and email notifications.
- Recommend and implement plugin updates or replacements if necessary to resolve functionality issues.
- Test and evaluate the employee portal to confirm it is functioning properly and identify any user experience or technical issues.
- Conduct a review of website content pages to identify and correct broken links, errors, or navigation issues.
- Document findings, recommendations, and completed fixes.
Required Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining Word Press websites.
- Familiarity with Word Press plugins, particularly form and email notification tools.
- Understanding of website hosting, DNS, email routing, and contact form functionality.
- Ability to independently diagnose and resolve website issues.
- Strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with employee/member portals within Word Press environments.
- Knowledge of common Word Press form plugins such as Contact Form 7, Gravity Forms, WPForms, or similar.
- Experience performing website audits and content quality checks.
Deliverables
- Resolution of website inquiry/email routing issues.
- Verification and testing of employee portal functionality.
- Identification and correction of broken links and content issues.
- Summary of work completed and any recommendations for future improvements.
