Job Title: Welder – 2nd Shift

Location: Hamilton, OH

Pay rate: $24.00/hr - $27.00

Work schedule: Monday – Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Position type: 1 position, RTH

Job Overview

Hubbell is seeking a skilled Welder to join the manufacturing team on 2nd shift. This role is responsible for performing structural steel welding on modular base frames and enclosure products using MIG, TIG, and Arc welding techniques. The Welder will also utilize oxy-acetylene and plasma arc equipment to cut steel of varying thicknesses while ensuring all work meets blueprint specifications, safety requirements, and ISO
9001:2015 quality standards.

Job Specifications
  • Follow all company safety guidelines and protocols
  • Pass a welding qualification test
  • Supply personal welding gear (helmet, chipping hammers, etc.)
  • Perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding on steel and aluminum materials
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and assembly instructions
  • Operate oxy-acetylene cutting equipment and plasma arc tools
  • Use metalworking equipment including press brakes, drill presses, and shears
  • Verify finished work against specifications to ensure quality workmanship
  • Complete time reporting sheets accurately
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
  • Work up to 10 hours per day and weekends as required
  • Hold a valid driver’s license
  • Pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Experience & Skills
  • 1–5 years of structural steel welding experience
  • AWS D1.1 welding certification
  • Familiarity with weld testing methods such as dye penetrant testing
  • Experience with framing and metalworking equipment (shears, brakes, etc.)
  • Proficiency with plasma arc cutting and laser measuring tools
