Press Setup Operator 1st Shift

Location: Hamilton, OH
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Experience: 1+ year preferred

The Press Setup Operator is responsible for setting up and operating saws and related equipment to produce parts that meet print specifications and quality standards. This role supports production efficiency while maintaining compliance with ISO requirements, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.

• Set up and operate saws according to print specifications, shop orders, and inspection charts

• Maintain production standards and meet daily output requirements

• Inspect parts using measuring tools such as calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, and squares

• Perform rework on nonconforming parts as required

• Complete all required production and quality documentation

• Perform daily machine maintenance and related recordkeeping

• Load materials, adjust blades, rams, stops, and clamps as needed

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Identify emergency stops, safety guards, and proper machine operation

• Follow quality, safety, and ISO procedures at all times

• Stop operations and escalate concerns when issues arise

• Assist with training new team members when assigned

• Perform additional duties as directed by supervision

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

• Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Ability to stand, walk, and use hands throughout the shift

• Ability to regularly assist-lift up to 55 lbs

• Good verbal and written communication skills

• Prolonged standing and walking

• Frequent use of hands, arms, and controls

• Ability to lift and move materials up to 55 lbs

• Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision
