A day in this role

You’ll arrive to precise customer manufacturing specifications, convert them into accurate machine programs, and set up the grinder to hit tight tolerances. Throughout the run, you’ll measure, verify, and fine-tune—keeping a close eye on surface finish and dimensional accuracy. If an issue appears, you’ll diagnose root causes, adjust controls, and restore quality swiftly.

What you’ll do Translate customer manufacturing specifications into precise machine programming.

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot surface grinding equipment to maintain strict tolerances.

Inspect finished units using appropriate gauges and instruments; identify defects and correct production errors by adjusting machine controls.

Apply strong problem-solving skills to inspect and assist with basic repair of machinery.

Perform other duties as assigned.

What you bring2+ years working with and/or programming manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines.

Proficiency with measurement tools such as CMM, CAD-CAM, micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and profilometers.

Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints and design sketches.

Ability to build and maintain clear, current machining process documentation.

Familiarity with warehouse, manufacturing, or production planning environments.
