This position is responsible for effectively planning and developing daily work schedules for the E/I maintenance workforce in support of plant production. This position requires a thorough knowledge of how to use systems to logically prioritize, plan and organize work in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental policies. The position will report directly to the Maintenance Planning Lead.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Safely plan and schedule daily work for the general E/I workforce, including preparation of a daily work schedule.
- Work with the Production scheduler to plan jobs, establish priorities, review backlogs, and generate daily work schedules.
- Provide liaison with other plant groups to ensure that all group needs are considered and met in planning.
- Review preventative maintenance procedures on equipment in area of accountability, ensuring they address equipment requirements, including inspections, service procedures, intervals, review, follow‑up, and cost/mannpower estimates.
- Coordinate and plan work requiring maintenance by the general E/I workforce, including drawings, sketches, material and equipment requirements, purchase requests, on‑site availability, cost estimates, field checks, and review with respect to planning.
- Follow up on materials for planned jobs, including disposition of ordered but unused materials, materials on order, and spare equipment not in store inventory, interfacing with corporate and local purchasing groups and stores personnel.
- Accountable for quantitative and qualitative reviews and to recommend spare parts for store inventory as required for equipment in the planner’s area, including new and existing equipment. Perform periodic reviews of equipment bill of materials to ensure accuracy.
- Work with the Asset Improvement group to prepare documentation and submit requests for capital spares acquisition.
- Perform related duties, special projects and functions as assigned.
- Provide weekend and holiday supervision of all maintenance activity on a rotational basis.
- Maintain a work backlog large enough to ensure that idle manpower does not exist and small enough to ensure that needed work is completed in a timely manner.
- Be willing to accept training to learn new procedures and replace old methods with new ideas made available through technological advances.
- Inform the area mechanical planner of significant spend for forecasting.
- Work with the Repairable Spares Specialist to ensure repairable items are refurbished or replaced expediently.
- Develop scope and request for quotation for supplemental maintenance work, coordinating scheduling of work.

- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance repair or planning in a plant environment, or an equivalent combination of both. Industrial plant experience strongly preferred.
