Position: BLC Operator - Rotating Days

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies; report near misses and hazards, wear required PPE, and encourage others to do the same.
  • Execute reservation requests and ensure timely movement of materials to banked inventory locations.
  • Perform replenishment and put‑away tasks to maintain accurate inventory levels and support production needs.
  • Accurately process transfer order confirmations, bin‑to‑bin transfers, and repacking to optimize material flow.
  • Conduct reservation picking and dynamic Kanban picks to fulfill production and warehouse demands.
  • Assist with freight unloading, ensuring materials are received, verified, and stored properly.
  • Operate material handling equipment—including tugger, dock stocker, scissor lift, reach truck, turret truck, and Order Picker/EKS 110—to move and stage materials safely and efficiently.
  • Utilize SAP and RF scanners to complete inventory transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies or material shortages to BLC leadership.
  • Adhere to company policies, productivity expectations, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area by following the principles of 6S and the Optimal State document(s).
  • Conduct and document daily material handling equipment inspections to ensure safe operation and report any concerns promptly.
  • Complete 100 % of required monthly safety training on time, applying learned principles to daily work.
  • Exhibit Plant Hamilton core values—accountability, teamwork, and leadership—in all tasks and interactions.
  • Adhere to the assigned work schedule, arriving ready to work by shift start time, and be flexible to work overtime when needed, including occasional Saturdays and Sundays.
  • Foster a positive work environment by demonstrating motivation, teamwork, and collaboration with colleagues.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Hourly Rate: $18.50/hr

Hours:

6a – 6p, rotating

Qualifications
  • Previous basic forklift experience with the ability to obtain a license and operate various forklifts (order filler, stand‑up reach, scissor lift).
  • Stable work history and strong personal desire to work safely and maintain a safe environment.
  • Strong customer focus, work ethic, and willingness to do what needs to be done.
  • Basic math skills, including working with decimals, and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Logical problem‑solving approach and willingness to learn and improve one’s skills.
  • Commitment to meet and exceed customer requirements at all times.
  • Ability to work required overtime, which may be substantial during peak production periods.
  • Capability to lift heavy objects (up to 40 lbs.) with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination and ability to perform detailed work with strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Teamwork orientation and pride in contributing to team accomplishments.
  • Reliability, initiative, commitment, and quality focus.
  • Highly organized with ability to work independently or as part of a team.
