The client is a specialized robotic automation integrator that designs, builds, and installs custom automation systems for industrial customers throughout North America. Operating as a highly collaborative engineering and manufacturing organization, the company supports manufacturers seeking to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency through advanced automation solutions. With approximately 40 employees, the environment offers the agility and visibility of a smaller organization while supporting technically challenging projects that have a direct impact on customer operations.

This role serves as a hands-on Automation Assembly Technician responsible for building, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and installing robotic automation systems. Technicians work closely with engineering, production, purchasing, and customer teams to transform designs into fully operational systems. Daily responsibilities include interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings, assembling equipment, wiring motors and sensors, performing diagnostics, fabricating components, and supporting customer installations. Success in this position comes from strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality systems that perform reliably in the field.

The position is primarily day shift and combines shop-based assembly work with customer-site installation support. Travel requirements range from approximately 30% to 50%, with most assignments lasting between two days and two weeks. Technicians regularly work with industrial robotic systems, electrical assemblies, pneumatic and hydraulic components, fabrication equipment, and material-handling machinery. The role offers exposure to multiple disciplines, allowing employees to continuously expand their technical capabilities across mechanical, electrical, controls, and automation systems.

Qualifications:

-Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic drawings

-Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic systems

-Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills

-Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment

-Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and internal teams

-Ability to travel 30-50% with overnight stays ranging from 2 days to 2 weeks

-Veterans with electrical, mechanical, maintenance, engineering, utilities, avionics, construction, or technical military backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply

Schedule, Pay & Benefits

-7:00-3:30 Monday-Friday

-$28-$32 per hour (with OT available)
