Synergy’s American headquarters is located in Wauconda, Illinois with additional operations in Hamilton, Ohio; and Chicago. Additionally, we have operations in the UK, Ireland and Thailand. The Warehouse Operator performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Verifies materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate locations.

Prepares items for shipment ensuring proper documents are attached to shipments.

• Prepares customer orders for shipments.
• Checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from suppliers.
• Monitors all aspects of the unloading and loading of bulk resources, finished goods and waste materials.
• Ensure all safety, environmental, and quality requirements are met.
• Process packages via UPS Worldship and Fed Ex Ship Manager.
• Inspects shipments for damages or defects; records discrepancies or damages and notifies supervisor purchasing and quality control personnel.
• May be Department of Transportation’s Hazardous Materials Regulations (49
  
  CFR, Parts 171-180) Certified.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap machine.
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
• Supports the inventory process by conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling discrepancies, and performing other inventory-related tasks to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock management.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 years of experience in a manufacturing ingredient plant preferred
• Experience with bulk transfer operations and/or chemical manufacturing processes preferred.
• Experience with hazardous materials transportation preferred; applicable training and certification will be provided.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in a GMP, Food Safety work environment with a complete understanding of warehouse activities.
• Strong focus on customer commitment.
• Excellent problem solving skills.
• Fork truck certification preferred.
