Quality Technician - 3rd shift

Responsibilities

• Perform daily testing of all raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Ensure testing is conducted in accordance with established SOPs.
• Assure product conformance to specifications.
• Conduct sensory, refractive index, brix, pH, turbidity, HPLC/GC, particle size testing, colorimetry, viscosity, density, water activity, manual titration, and other assigned tests.
• Analyze data and produce detailed reports noting relevant specification information.
• Take microbial samples and maintain a sterile/clean environment throughout the process.
• Sample incoming raw materials for analysis, including lifting up to 50lbs repeatedly.
• Create COAs, prepare micro samples, calibrate laboratory equipment, and maintain production and quality records to ensure compliance.
• File raw material and finished product records and retains.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while keeping the environment safe, neat, and clean.

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology, Food Science/Technology, or a related business field.
• At least 2 years of quality control laboratory experience applied comprehensively and hands‑on.
• Previous flavor industry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

• High school diploma or GED with 2‑5 years of inspection or manufacturing experience.
• Experience with HACCP, FSP, ISO
  22000, SQF, BRC, or equivalent GFSI criteria.
• Experience with QC instruments such as pH meters, refractometers, densitometers, colorimeters, GC, water activity meters, and turbidimeters.
• Ability to analyze and interpret information.
• Excellent organization and priority‑setting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Discern sensory differences between tested flavors and flavor chemicals.

Starting hourly rate: $20.00/hr (additional compensation may apply based on experience). 3rd shift shift differential pay eligible Monday‑Friday 11pm‑7am.
