- Part-time (24 hours per week)
- Shift Varies (shift differential for eves, nights, weekends, holidays)
- Weekend and holiday rotation

Job Requirements- High School Degree or GED
- 1-2 years Technical experience in Criminal Justice, Private Security, Police experience or Military preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Current Private Security handgun certification or ability to obtain certification within 45 days of hire
- Valid Driver's License with no more than 4 driving points recorded on a motor vehicle report
- No prior DUI/DWI convictions within the last 5 years
- No major moving violations convictions
Officers must be a minimum of 21 years of age. Responsibilities to include:
- Patrol buildings and grounds to deter/prevent law and policy violations.
- Post-up at specific locations when assigned.
- Ensure the safety and security of patients, parents, visitors, and team members.
- Maintain communications with the Communications Center and other Protective Services personnel by two-way radio, phone and other communication devices.
- Ensure that only authorized personnel are admitted onto hospital premises; contact unauthorized persons to determine service needs, ask questions, re-routing or detainment appropriate to the facts known at the time.
- Report safety and fire hazards observed on routine patrols and inspections; look for violations of the Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA and Fire Code safety violations.
- Officers may be assigned On-Call responsibilities and may be reassigned to other locations and work schedules including weekends and holidays as needed to fulfill mission of department.
- Respond to and investigate routine and/or urgent complaints reported by patients, parents, visitors and team members and implement service recovery as appropriate. File appropriate documentation by the end of the shift.
- Conduct follow‑up investigations as directed and file appropriate reports by the end of the shift.
- Pass on information to others during shift huddles.

- Emergency response to distress calls, panic alarms and emergency calls for disorderly conduct, disruptive persons or combative patients within 3 minutes of activation. Assist clinical staff with patient restraint; monitor combative or potentially combative patients as directed. Physically restrain patients as instructed by the appropriate clinical staff members.
- Respond to safety emergencies; evaluate the situation and act appropriately with Tri Health policy guidelines.
- Serve as a source of authority; constantly maintain high visibility.
- Provide help in times of emergency and stress.
- Act as liaison and partner with police and fire agencies as needed.
- Direct traffic within Tri Health campuses and control parking of all patients, parents, visitors and team members. Enforce hospital parking rules and issue parking violations to illegally parked vehicles. Escort patients, parents, visitors and team members to and from parking areas as needed.
