Family Service Worker for Intake

Salary: $20.00 - $26.50 per hour, based on education.

Work Year:
Full time – 210 days.

Job Description:

To complete applications and verify eligibility documentation on time in order to maintain full enrollment in Head Start centers in accordance with Head Start Standards, Ohio Department of Education Pre-School regulations and BCESC policies and procedures; ensure that intake and enrollment services are provided for all eligible applicants and to refer families to the appropriate community social service/health service agency(ies) for direct services;

serve as a liaison between parents and staff.

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Services Field
• Spanish speaking preferred.
• One (1) year prior social service experience with families; undergraduate field practicum acceptable.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with good driving record and daily access to a private insured vehicle during working hours.
• Willingness/ability to work as a team member.
• Computer proficiency appropriate to the position.
• Good organizational skills.
• History of good job attendance.
• Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable disease.
