Warehouse Operations Manager

Reports to:

Director of Warehousing

Reporting Staff:
Warehouse Supervisors, Inventory Control Specialist, Order Control Specialist, Custodian

Alternate in Case of Absence:
Warehouse Supervisors

Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee all daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
  • Develop and improve warehouse processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Create and maintain positive relationships with customers while addressing operational concerns and service requests.
  • Lead, coach, hire, train, and develop warehouse personnel to build a safe, productive, and engaged workforce.
  • Monitor labor productivity and ensure staffing levels meet operational needs.
  • Support and ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality programs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and all applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through audits, cycle counts, and inventory control procedures.
  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness, organization, and proper storage of products and equipment.
  • Audit aisle cleaning, custodian cleaning, and weekly product inspections, including damage and infestation logs.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the facility, employees, equipment, and customer product.
  • Monitor warehouse performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or five (5) or more years of warehouse management experience; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience leading warehouse supervisors and hourly employees.
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
  • Experience with inventory control and warehouse operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience hiring, coaching, and developing employees.
  • Ability to promote a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.
