The Deparment of Student Life at Purdue University Northwest isseeking an Assistant Director for Student Life
- Programming and Administration. This position will support Hammond Student Life Registered Student Organizations (RSO), programming, and manage theoffice. Included in this position is supervision of all student workers for Hammond as well as office and RSO budget and management.
- $55,00 - $60,000
- Monday
- Friday, Typically 8am – 5pm with occasional evening and weekend work; will flex work schedule to accommodate
- Programming & Administration
- Daily oversight of RSOs and RSO communication.
- Organize and facilitate monthly RSO training for RSOofficers.
- Develop and maintain RSO Orientations, Trainings, assist with updating manuals for RSOs, student workers, and office.
- Manage the RSO Purchasing Cards with the administrative assistant of the Office of Student Life.
- Track and maintain the RSO and office budgets.
- Work closely with the Office of Student Life Graduate Assistant on RSO management.
- Plan and implement social programming for the Hammond Campus,including partnering with campus and community partners and identifying a budget for small scale events and tracking expenditures.
- Will involve purchasing and occasional trips to various shopping locations to support events.
- This may include assisting with large scale Office of Student Life Events such as the Welcome Rally.
- This includes supervision of all students assigned to assist with programs on the Hammond campus.
- Manage the Hammond Student Life Office, including the upkeep ofall technology items for the Hammond office and ensuring the office environment is staffed and running efficiently and effectively.
- This includes supervision of all student office staff.
- Manage the Hammond Food Pantry in coordination with the PNWPantry Committee.

Education of Assistant Director for Student Life- Programming & Administration
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Programming & Administration
- Two years of experience working with students or in a college environment required

- Good organizational and communication skills
- Experience working with databases, spreadsheets and budget management
