Responsibilities
Guest teacher follows lesson plans/instructions left by absent teacher. Actively supervises students ensuring minimal disruption.
Reports any issues and leaves a written report to the regular teacher.
Reports to school by 7:45 am (if full day) and is dressed appropriately (casual work attire – no jeans). Must wear a school‑issued at all times.
CompensationGuest teachers with a bachelor degree and above receive $125/day.
Those without a bachelor degree receive $100/day.
QualificationsMust have a high school diploma and at least 15 credit hours from an accredited university.
Expected to have a substitute teacher license from the State of Indiana or be willing to obtain one.
Must pass a background check before working for the school.
