Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing – Tenure Track (Spring 2026)
Southeastern Louisiana University’s School of Nursing invites applications for a tenure‑track position at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Nursing beginning Spring 2026. The successful candidate will teach at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, fostering interactive learning and supporting student success in both classroom and clinical settings.
In addition to teaching, the incumbent is expected to engage in continuous professional development, conduct scholarly activities such as research, publishing, and presentations, and contribute to the university through committee work, special projects, student guidance, and community service.
Required Qualifications- A doctorate degree in Nursing conferred by the date of hire
- An unencumbered RN license in the state of Louisiana
- At least two years of clinical experience as an RN
- Commitment to working with diversity
- Prior teaching experience
- APRN certification
- Proficient computer skills (word processing, presentation software, spreadsheets, etc.)
- Effective interpersonal communication skills

- Copies of transcripts (only an unofficial transcript for the highest degree is required upon application; official transcripts for all degrees will be required upon employment)
