Job SummaryThe Casino Marketing Manager leads a specialized team of service professionals to deliver an exceptional on‑property experience for Horseshoe’s most valued guests. They own the entire customer service journey, drive revenue growth, enhance brand image, and support social media, website, and advertising initiatives. The role requires creating and executing unique events and promotions, fostering teamwork, coaching staff, and continually improving operations and guest satisfaction.
HowYou Will Create the Extraordinary
- Lead hiring and performance management for service teams.
- Model excellence in sales and service, inspire the team, and cross‑sell/up‑sell products.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching, and conduct annual and mid‑year performance reviews.
- Manage departmental P&Ls and shift scheduling.
- Identify and implement organizational improvements and efficiencies.
- Coordinate service programs, activities, special events, and databases with marketing systems.
- Develop proactive outreach strategies for the service team using communication technologies.
- Partner with Rewards and Executive Host teams to identify service opportunities and manage change.
- Analyze cost and revenue reports, recommend actions, and present financial performance updates.
- Develop annual strategic plans for VIP Hospitality, Promotions & Events, and media.
- Assist with administrative duties within the Marketing department.
- Act as a motivator, coach, and trainer.
- Oversee all aspects of Special Events/Promotions: themes, audience analysis, budgeting, prize structures, entertainment, décor, PKMS programs, expense tracking, IGC notifications, and submissions.
- Collaborate with Direct Marketing, Advertising, and Entertainment to maximize return on spend and event attendance.
- Adapt marketing strategies as needed based on performance and demand.
- Ensure all collateral requests are complete and submitted on time.
- Communicate all promotional offerings internally and externally.
- Coordinate and facilitate Special Events/Promotions with internal departments and outside vendors.
- Develop and test PKMS programs for promotions and events; maintain documentation per SOP.
- Work closely with Regulatory Compliance to ensure accuracy and adherence to rules.
- Maintain awareness of market changes affecting event planning.
- Manage social media programming, property website, and advertising with the Entertainment Marketing Manager.
- Minimum 3 years of casino experience with player rating, complimentary issuance, casino systems, and customer service.
- Strong analytical, planning, development, and communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented administrative skills; leadership ability essential.
- Excellent written and oral communication; personable character traits; neat appearance and professional attitude.
- Ability to handle standardized problems with concrete variables.
- Flexible to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a gaming license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
- Access to the contractor vessel is required.
- Must be able to lift or carry objects up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work with confidential data.
- Effective presentation skills in one‑to‑one and small group settings.
- Effective time management and multitasking ability.
- Listen and respond to visual and aural cues.
- Work in a loud, smoky environment.
- Work in warm/cold temperatures and/or weather conditions.
- Stand or walk for 6–10 hours per shift.
- Bend, reach, push, pull, and stretch repetitively.
