Job Description:
REGIONAL Federal Credit Union, a leading provider of banking products and financial services serving Northwest Indiana, is looking for a Teller Supervisor to join our Team. We have immediate opening in our Hammond office.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Supervise the activities of the MSR operations area by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, helping with complex transactions and sensitive member relations problems. Explain policies and procedures to members as a communication tool.
- Complete Vault and MSR cash drawer audits as outlined in internal procedures and on an as‑needed basis.
- Complete daily branch balancing and branch cash orders.
- Work closely with the Branch Manager/VP of Branch Development and Director of Training to ensure that the team is trained and cross‑trained in all phases of their job duties to ensure the delivery of quality service to members and ensure accuracy in transactions.

- Maintain a highly motivated, well‑trained team.
- Evaluate the job performance of their team to ensure quality member service and accurate transactions.
- Conduct monthly Team observations and coaching sessions to ensure team members are achieving success in all stated expectations in support of the organizational goals, job duties and the service and sales culture.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and credit union robbery procedures.
- Hold periodic team meetings to discuss areas needing improvement, changes in procedures, new developments, or services and to present general information. Encourage the exchange of ideas.
- Manage and recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies.
- Approve member exceptions and authorize service fee refunds to members when deemed necessary.
- Investigate MSR losses and institute corrective flow of work and/or corrective disciplinary action when required.
- Analyze the workflow on an on‑going basis to determine team coverage requirements.
- Create, oversee, and adjust the work monthly schedules for full‑time and part‑time MSR team to ensure proper coverage and service levels to the members.
- Perform all MSR job duties as needed or required.
- Participate in the hiring and termination process of MSRs as needed.
- Work closely with Branch Manager/VP, and the VP of Lending to ensure that loan applications are processed and disbursed in accordance with policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Open new accounts and services. Assist members in completing all necessary steps. Provide members with all required information for membership.
- Conduct duties of credit union IRA administrator.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Minimum High school education or equivalent.
- 2+ years general banking experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
- Ability to work through problems by listening, thinking through all options, and responding appropriately.
- Consultative skills to identify a member’s financial needs.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
- Bi‑lingual Spanish speaking preferred.

Physical requirements:Physical requirements are sitting and standing for a length of time. The team member is regularly required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, kneel, talk, and hear/listen. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. This position requires viewing of a computer monitor for extended lengths of time.
