Position Overview

The Loader in Training for Ecoservices in Hammond, IN supports the site’s bulk loading operations while training to become a qualified Loader plant. You will learn to spot, load, and unload tank cars and trucks, handle samples, and complete regulatory documentation while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This is a hands-on role in a rotating shift environment with opportunities for advancement.

What

You Will Be Doing
  • Assist Loaders with daily responsibilities while in training
  • Spot tank cars and trucks, load/unload materials to prescribed levels
  • Sample materials and deliver to the lab
  • Complete loading forms, gauge storage tanks, and transfer products between tanks
  • Monitor equipment, prepare for maintenance, and submit maintenance requests
  • Operate various mobile equipment such as the track mobile
  • Work in all loader areas including acid and caustic tanks, tank trucks, tank cars, and burn areas
  • Follow all plant safety procedures, policies, and regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in rotating shifts, typically 8 hours per weekday, with possible night or weekend work
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with exposure to tank farms, sampling, and material transfer
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; SAP experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of chemistry principles (pH, pressure, density, etc.)
  • Demonstrated safe behavior and ability to follow procedures
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Able to work independently and complete tasks without direct supervision
