Laundry Worker
Hammond, Indiana Full-Time Starting Pay $15.49 per hour Increases to $16.55 per hour after successful completion of a 90-day probationary period and satisfactory performance.
INOVA Staffing Services is seeking dependable, hardworking Laundry Workers to join a fast-paced commercial laundry facility in Hammond, Indiana. This position is responsible for sorting, processing, folding, inspecting, and packaging linens while maintaining quality standards and a safe, clean work environment.
Work Schedule:
- 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Four (4) days per week
- Forty (40) hours per week
- Overtime may be available based on business needs
Essential
Job Responsibilities:
- Sort, separate, and organize soiled linens by type.
- Feed linens into commercial laundry equipment.
- Fold, stack, package, and prepare clean linens for shipment.
- Load and unload laundry carts throughout the facility.
- Perform visual quality inspections of finished products.
- Maintain production standards while meeting quality expectations.
- Keep assigned work areas clean and organized.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work cooperatively with supervisors and team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to frequently bend, twist, reach, push, and pull.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a warm, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attendance and punctuality.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Preferred
Skills:
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
- Commercial laundry experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements:
- Continuous standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work safely around industrial laundry equipment.
