The Development Department at Purdue University Northwest is seeking a Broad Based Campaign Manager to join our team!
Working within Institutional Advancement offers a unique opportunity to be a part of a department dedicated to empowering PNW alumni, donors, and friends and fostering a lifelong connection to the institution. This role contributes to a mission that supports educational initiatives, scholarships, and programs that positively impact PNW students and graduates and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and the broader community.
The Broad Based Campaign Manager develops and executes comprehensive annual giving and donor stewardship campaigns that increase donor participation, strengthen donor retention, and deepen engagement with the university. This position manages email communication, annual fundraising campaigns, Day of Giving, stewardship communications and donor engagement initiatives while leveraging Salesforce Ascend to support data-driven fundraising efforts. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders within internal PNW business units and the Purdue University system to ensure compliance with Purdue for Life Foundation data access and compliance standards and implement ethical fundraising and donor engagement strategies.
Works in conjunction with Marketing and Communications staff to ensure digital content aligns with institutional branding standards and is suitable for a variety of channels, including the website, social media, alumni engagement newsletters, and other communications. Coordinates timing and deployment of alumni and donor engagement content across Institutional Advancement and campus partners to ensure consistent and cohesive messaging.
Duties and Responsibilities of Broad Based Campaign Manager Annual Giving Campaign Management:- Manage and execute annual giving campaigns across multiple channels, including PNW’s largest annual fundraiser, PNW Day of Giving.
- Oversee and enhance PNW’s Day of Giving campaign.
- Analyze donor segmentation data and develop targeted strategies for acquiring, retaining and upgrading donors.
- Collaborate with Mar Com and Alumni Relations teams to coordinate messaging and outreach.
- Facilitate the retrieval and compilation of donor lists for stewardship communications and solicitation efforts via both direct mail and email, guaranteeing the accuracy and currency of contact details.
- Track campaign performance and produce regular reports to inform strategy and demonstrate ROI.
- Act as liaison and specialist to development officers and advancement personnel to provide donor cultivation and stewardship assistance.
- Collaborate with Purdue for Life Foundation to ensure compliance with data privacy and sharing.
- Build donor segments and communication lists.
- Manage the maintenance of PNW constituent dashboards, reports, giving links, and donor profiles within the database, as assigned.
- Management of one student position, including training, supervision, and assigning/review of work.
- Responsible for written and digital communication sent on behalf of Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, and Assistant Vice Chancellor.
- Stay current on trends in annual giving, digital fundraising, and donor communications.
- Draft and manage the production of donor-centric stewardship communications, including acknowledgement letters, impact reports, newsletters, and thank you messages.
- Highlight donor stories and philanthropy impact through storytelling.
- Develop training materials and presentations to educate Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) on effective fundraising techniques, compliance guidelines, and best practices to empower them to achieve their fundraising goals.
- Responsible for written and digital communication sent on behalf of Chancellor, Vice Chancellor, and Assistant Vice Chancellor.
- Stay current on trends in annual giving, digital fundraising, and donor communications.
