A manufacturing business within NW Indiana that manufactures and supplies components for the self storage industry. With 7 years of business, we have consistent clientele but are looking for more. We have a strong culture, care about our employees, and are very excited to add someone in sales.
Job SummarySales Executive for a manufacturing company that produces components for self‑storage structures. Hybrid role – must be based in Greater Chicagoland. We’ll offer a generous compensation package (base salary plus commission), benefits, PTO, and remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities- Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive growth and land more clientele.
- Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Negotiating and closing agreements with clients according to company policies.
- Monitoring competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Providing timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Keeping abreast of new product launches and ensuring sales team members are on board.
- Reporting on sales results and providing accurate sales forecasts to the management team.
- Helping to develop marketing strategies for our business, our website, and other related tasks.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven work experience as a Sales Executive or similar role (manufacturing experience a bonus, not required).
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
- Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles.
- Outstanding communication, presentation, negotiation, and business development skills.
- Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain strong relationships.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field.
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategic sales plans and successfully meeting sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, competitive market.
- Competitive base salary ($75,000 – $90,000 base).
- Commission package (overall earnings into the six figures).
