Job Overview

Sales Executive for a manufacturing company that manufactures components for self‑storage structures. Hybrid role – must be based in Greater Chicagoland. Compensation includes a base salary of $75,000–$90,000 per year plus commission, benefits, PTO, and remote flexibility.

We are a manufacturing business located in NW Indiana that supplies components for the self‑storage industry. With seven years in business, we have a consistent clientele and a strong culture that cares about our employees. We’re looking to expand our sales team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to grow sales and acquire new clients.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
  • Negotiate and close agreements in line with company policies.
  • Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, new releases, delivery schedules, and merchandising tactics.
  • Provide timely, effective solutions that align with client needs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Stay informed on new product launches and ensure the sales team is ready to sell.
  • Report on sales results and deliver accurate forecasts to management.
  • Help develop marketing strategies for the business, website, and related initiatives.
  • Qualifications
  • 2–7 years of sales experience, preferably in manufacturing (not required).
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles, methods, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of market research and negotiation principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and business‑development skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing strategic sales plans and meeting targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, competitive environment.
