General Summary

The NDT Advanced Services API Inspector is responsible for performing inspections in accordance with API standards, designated equipment, and recommending and approving repairs or certifying compliance.

Essential Job Functions

Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and practices, alerting others to potential hazards.

Performs all duties as assigned, adhering to company core values and critical choices.

Conducts internal and external inspections on equipment at scheduled intervals to maintain mechanical integrity.

Recommends and approves repairs; performs visual inspections of completed repairs.

Assists in scheduling inspection activities.

Writes detailed inspection and turnaround reports, maintaining documentation of activities.

Identifies safety hazards and uses proper safety procedures and equipment.

Communicates effectively with customers and other parties to uphold the company's professional reputation.

Completes required training, including tests, within company guidelines.

Performs filing of customer and company documentation.

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Technical school or related training preferred.
Industry-related experience preferred.
Valid API certification required.
Valid Driver's License required.
Travel requirement: 0% - 50%.

Work Conditions

Position based at a branch or site location. Field duties involve indoor and outdoor work around machinery with extreme noise levels, climbing, working at heights, and in confined spaces. May require travel and working in various climates.

Physical and Mental Requirements

Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.
Ability to walk, climb, and work at heights.
Effective communication skills.
Observation and manual dexterity capabilities.
Mobility to access various work environments.
Focus and multitasking abilities.
