Facility Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

Job Type: Full-Time Shift: 1st Shift (Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as needed) Pay: $20.00/hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team on 1st shift. This role is responsible for maintaining the building and facility systems to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate has experience with general building maintenance, HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing, and basic carpentry, and is willing to work overtime and weekends when business needs require.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general building and facility maintenance.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC systems.
  • Complete minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment.
  • Maintain material handling equipment to ensure reliable operation.
  • Complete basic carpentry repairs, including floors, walls, doors, and other building components.
  • Inspect and maintain safety equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Respond to security and alarm calls when necessary.
  • Accurately complete maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of facility maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, and basic carpentry.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow written instructions and safety procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and other shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds.
  • Frequently bend, stoop, crouch, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to work at elevated heights when necessary.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
