Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of English and World Languages invites applications for the position of Instructor of World Languages. This position will teach courses in one or more of the following languages:
French, Spanish, German, Italian, Latin, Chinese, American Sign Language, and/or Mythology (classical, Germanic, Mesoamerican, or South American), in face-to-face, hybrid, and/or online formats, and provide service to the department and university beginning the Fall 2026 semester.
Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credits in French, Spanish, German, Italian, Latin, Chinese, American Sign Language, Classics, or Mythology from an accredited university by hire date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Earned doctorate
- Proven excellence in teaching at the post-secondary level and a demonstrated ability to integrate a variety of authentic and multimedia resources into world language instruction
- Familiarity with creating and administering online courses
- Ability to teach in more than one of the languages/areas listed above (French, Spanish, German, Italian, Latin, Chinese, American Sign Language, Mythology).
