PositionSummary
The Mortgage Loan Processor/Closer works in tandem with First Guaranty Bank Mortgage Originators to provide quality customer service. Timely processes and closes all in-house portfolio loans and secondary market loans. This role requires solid proficiency for processing and closing bank portfolio, government, conforming and/or non-conforming loans with regular communication with both borrowers and originating lenders. Loans to be reviewed within 24-48 hours of being assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Order all verifications and information needed to submit a complete file to underwriting. i.e. Verification of Employment, Verification of Rent/Mortgage
- Collect all insurance and tax information and send for Approval.
- Review income, assets, and credit report to ensure file meets policy requirements.
- Order and review appraisals to ensure policy requirements.
- Order and review title work from closing attorney to confirm clear title.
- Order and review Flood Determination.
- Ensure all information collected is accurate in Calyx Point.
- Prepare Adverse Action notices.
- Ensure all customer files are complete and in compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations.
