Join our mission-driven behavioral health team as an Administrative Coordinator 3, where you will lead agency-wide medical records operations, ensure regulatory excellence, and play a vital role in protecting sensitive health information while supporting services across our five-parish community.
An ideal candidate will have knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR, Part 2 privacy requirements, experience with working as a liaison who fulfills Louisiana MCO requests for records for medical reviews and audits, experience with working in both paper records and electronic health records, and the ability to articulate basic health records security and retention laws.

Two years of experience in administrative services.
Experience SubstitutionEvery 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here.
Job Duties- Serves as the lead worker for the administrative medical records functions for the entire agency and throughout the 5 parish service area.
- Oversees and advises on the billing functions for all functions related to records requests and takes ownership of maintaining and reporting to the accounts receivable counterparts in order to facilitate accessing billing records and submitting billing requests for the same.
- Provides programmatic, policy interpretation, and technical support to operate a variety of electronic equipment.
- Fulfills all day-to-day records management duties.
- Maintains knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR, Part 2 privacy requirements to be able to process records that are complex and complicated and to be able to provide guidance to other administrative staff.
- Displays the ability to articulate basic health records security and retention laws.
Appointment Type: Probational Appointment. Applicants may be asked to serve a probationary period that may be anywhere between 6 months and 24 months.
Compensation: The salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience. Salary may be negotiable depending on the chosen applicant’s level of experience. Note regarding the advertised pay range:
