Licensed Vocational Nurse, PRN

Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit
Gather and report patient data
Carry out orders
Perform therapeutic procedures on patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner
Follow PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

• Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides
• Current BLS certification required
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments preferred
• Comfort working with vents/trachs/PICC lines preferred
• Two years of experience in direct patient care preferred

Demonstrates proficiency in providing nursing care under the direction of an RN, with a focus on patient data gathering, therapeutic procedures, and adherence to health policies. Holds essential certifications and experience in direct patient care, particularly in medical-surgical and critical care environments.
