Status: PRN
- As Needed | Shift: Evening Shift (1430 – 2300 hours). Schedule is subject to change and may vary depending on agency needs.

- High School diploma required, or equivalent.
- Prefer 3-5 years previous supervisory experience in Security field or customer service.
- Will be trained as required, attend in‑services and meetings as required.
- Must exhibit excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Must possess the ability to think on one’s feet and make quick decisions.
- Knowledge of restraining, State and Federal criminal codes, universal precautions, PPE, MOAB, etc.
- Physical fitness: medium; occasional push, pull, carry, lift; sit frequently; stand occasionally.
- On‑coming dispatcher reports to Dispatch Center and ascertains if calls for service are held.
- Assigns calls to appropriate personnel when they exist; otherwise relieves off‑going dispatcher.
- Reviews all logs to ensure entries are closed properly; relieves off‑going dispatcher when complete.
- Obtains name, unit number, and key set number for all Security personnel at start of shift and records on radio log.
- Answer all phone calls on the first ring, stating "Security" and dispatcher’s name.
- When multiple calls come in, put calls on hold while acknowledging them.
- Answer and prioritize all calls; take messages; route calls; provide information; gather and document incident reports; assign service/assistance calls.
- Document all calls and radio transmissions in the Security Radio Log, recording time received, arrival, completion, unit #, caller name and unit.
- Monitor closed‑circuit television monitors.
- Answer/silence alarms, after documenting and dispatching personnel to alarm locations.
- Place maintenance requests in the AYS computer system and document request number in maintenance log.
- Monitor all traffic in and out of the Security Administration Office.
- Maintain courier log and call‑out log; advise callers to contact security supervisor or manager when appropriate.
- Handle fire alarm system: acknowledge alarms, silence, read location, switch to all call, call 6911 for overhead paging, reset after maintenance approval.
- Handle trouble alarms: acknowledge, stop beeping, switch to maintenance radio, provide location.
- Medium fitness level and strength.
- Occasional push, pull, carry, lift; sit frequently; stand occasionally.
