Southeastern Louisiana University's Physical Plant Department invites applicants to apply for the HVAC/Control Technician Foreman position. This position is responsible for overseeing the work of the positions assigned to the Energy Management Systems crew consisting of HVAC/Controls Technician Master and HVAC Refrigeration Mechanics. This position oversees HVAC operations for the facility and serves a direct supervisor to subordinate HVAC personnel. Maintenance is further defined to be minor repairs, major repairs, installation of equipment replacements, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, deferred maintenance.

Equipment types are chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, electronic and pneumatic control systems, computerized Energy Management System, freezers, walk-in coolers, ice machines, etc.

Work Schedule:

Monday - Thursday 6:30 am - 4:00 pm, 45-minute lunch and Friday 6:30 am - 11:30 am    Hourly Rate: $27.60

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Two years of the required experience for the following minimum qualifications must have been on-the-job experience:
Four years of experience or training in the installation or maintenance of pneumatic, electrical, or electronic control systems for heating (including boiler), ventilating, or air conditioning systems. to View the Civil Service Job Spec## ## Posting Close Date July 29, 2026
