Work under Sr. Technicians and upper management to perform required work task in relation to pipe and liner fusion. Performs general manual labor tasks including loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials. Assists a variety of functions with manual labor tasks as needed. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

• 1. Learn and become proficient in use of all necessary tools to complete job task
• 3. Loading/unloading, lifting and moving of materials on site.
• 4. Responsible for good housekeeping practices on jobsite and in the shop.
• 5. Adheres to all applicable safety standards

• 1. Cross-train with other departments as needed.
• 2. Participates in other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

• 1. High School Diploma.
• 2. Valid Driver’s License.
• 3. Valid TWIC – OSHA card.
• 4. Able to gain access to customer jobsites

• A. Meets one of the following:
  • 1. Proficient at a level 2 of competency (See USF Training Matrix) for two or more fusion machines; from 14 hand machines to T900’s. This includes:
    • a. Detailed knowledge of the fusion process and related quality standards / procedures
    • b.Basic knowledge of the data included in ASME/ASTM as it relates to the fusion process
    • c. Basic knowledge of the properties of PE material
    • d.Knows and understands the fusion machines in a way that enables him/her to ensure the integrity of the machines and all their associated parts / components
    • e. Basic understanding of the materials and methods of installation for PE piping systems, including:
      • f. Basic understanding of the means / methods of the installation of electrofusion couplers and branch saddles
      • g.Competent at reading project drawings
      • h. Competent at taking
