Overview
Southeastern Louisiana University’s Office of Technology invites applications for the position of Development and Database Coordinator. This role directs and leads the systems analysis and programming efforts for OT projects, including the Workday project. The position supervises staff in designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining computer applications systems and programs. The incumbent will review and approve projects before migration to production and will work with the Director of Programming and Web Services to develop and maintain change control practices for software applications and OT projects.
Responsibilities- Direct and lead systems analysis and programming efforts for Office of Technology projects, including Workday.
- Supervise staff in designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application systems and programs.
- Review and approve projects before migration to production environments.
- Collaborate with the Director of Programming and Web Services to develop and maintain change control practices for software applications and OT projects.
- REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) from an accredited university by hire date. - Four or more years of application development experience including ERP development, SQR programming, XML reporting, as well as Workday Integration, Report and Studio development or similar technologies.
- Experience as a team member working on a Workday implementation project.
- Robust knowledge of SQL.
- Working knowledge of relational databases (such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Experience working in Higher Education.
- Ability to work independently and as a team leader/member.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to working with diversity.
- Experience as a team leader involving coordinating staff and assignments.
