Position Details
- Schedule:
Sunday – Thursday (evenings) - Dispatch: 6:00pm until finished
- Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year
- Sign‑On Bonus of $5,000 (Terms Apply; not available to former PFG employees)

As a Shuttle Driver, you will play a vital role by transporting empty trailers to the Operating Company warehouse locations and turning around to deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. You will drive a tandem trailer, tractor‑truck, or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, following DOT regulations. You will communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues, and perform any duty as assigned.
PositionResponsibilities
- Perform all required safety checks (pre‑/post‑trip) and inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safe driving guidelines, and policies; report safety hazards immediately.
- Inspect trailers to ensure freight is properly loaded and secured.
- Ensure all required route paperwork is available upon dispatch.
- Drive and deliver trailers according to the predetermined route schedule.
- Perform hook/unhook procedures in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Park and store tractor trailers in designated areas.
- Secure equipment and freight.
- Collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailers for return to base facility; complete necessary paperwork.
- Unload equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers.
- Complete daily record of hours of service and submit it in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements.
- Perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL A with Doubles endorsement
- 21 years of age or older
- Meet all state licensing and certification requirements (where applicable)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Work required: 3rd shift schedule, Sunday–Thursday nights (schedule may vary)
- Pass pre‑employment drug test
- Pass road test
- Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to obtain one
- Ability to hand‑lift and operate equipment such as a two‑wheeler or lift gate to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight (typically 60–90 pounds depending on location)
