Hampstead Middle School (Grades 5-8) is seeking a part-time para educator for the  school year to work with students identified with educational disabilities. The qualified candidate will provide in-person academic and/or behavioral supports to elementary students. Experience and willingness to work with students identified with an emotional/behavioral disorder a plus. Duties may include personal care requring the lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, pushing, and walking.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Ability to lift 50 pounds and other physical capability as noted

Desired Qualification
Certified Registered Behavior Technician (see HASS Union Agreement section 16.2 c for RBT Compensation)
Experience working with middle school students who follow a behavior plan

Employment Terms
5.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday
30 min unpaid lunch
Salary and benefits are based on experience and the Hampstead Associate of School Staff (HASS) Agreement, attached.
