Overview

CGL is a provider of justice facility planning, design, and program management and maintenance solutions to justice facilities and other public facilities throughout the U.S. and internationally. CGL Facility Management, LLC provides comprehensive contract facility maintenance services to commercial clients.
What You Will Do- Supervises employees to include hiring, firing, and performance management. Supervision also includes new employee on-boarding and training, ongoing formal and informal performance evaluation, and instructing and advising staff of employee procedures and guidelines.
- Reviews job requests and work orders daily to determine workload priorities.
- Supervises corrective and preventive maintenance activities on MEP systems to provide continuous supply of HVAC, electricity, gas, and other utilities required for operations.
- Performs routine facility inspections for conformance with operational and safety requirements and standards.
- Implements, monitors, and follows policies and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs, and provide efficient use of labor and materials.
- Requisition s tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.
- Follows and enforces strict tool control and other company and client policies.
- Provides training and orientation of staff to improve work performance, provide safety, and acquaint workers with company and client policies and procedures.
- Informs and confers with supervisor to resolve maintenance problems and personnel issues and recommends measures to improve operations.
- Keeps supervisor informed of the progress and status of all open work orders, projects, staff attendance, and other activities to help ensure adequate use of resources and timely completion of work orders in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations and standards.
- Interacts professionally with the public, vendors and staff; maintains effective working relationships and works in cooperation with the site management team to effectively meet client and company objectives.
- Responds to all emergencies as requested.
- Prepares records, reports, and other documentation related to work performed and staff management as requested/required.
- Evaluates staff and makes promotional and disciplinary recommendations; ensures staff is trained in complex maintenance activities and is following established, standard operating procedures.
- Conducts regular quality control inspections of work orders, to determine the effectiveness of the work being done.
- This position requires driving for the Company using either a company vehicle (frequency from Rarely to Constantly) or a personal/rental vehicle to conduct company business more than 50% of the time to perform work duties.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or related discipline (preferred) or High School Diploma or GED; advanced training or degree in building maintenance or skilled trades; or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years facility management and/or related correctional facility experience (required).
- Five years of skilled commercial maintenance experience in HVAC, Electrical, Electronics, Plumbing, Locksmith, Security Controls, Life Safety, or equivalent mix of education and experience (required).
- Experience must include three to four years in a supervisory position (required).
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, internet, etc.).
- Knowledge of OSHA codes and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and with client customers.
- Must be a team player with strong work ethic, positive attitude, and service-oriented mindset.
- Certifications may be required.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player who can prioritize in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.
- Strong leadership and technical knowledge with a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to motivate, delegate, and provide constructive feedback to a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Driver's License (in state) and valid (required); DL number may be required for verification.
- Some clients may require certifications (e.g., CFC Universal).
