Job Type: Full-time | Shift: 1st Shift (7AM-3:30PM) | Pay: $19.11 - $20.49 per hour.

Position Summary

Loads, unloads, moves and cleans materials within or near plant, yard, or work site by performing the following duties.

How You Will Add Value
  • Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
  • Opens containers.
  • Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Moves materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
  • Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
  • Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.
  • Operate and maintain Smart Skim, or coolant recycling system.
  • Lifts heavy objects by hand or with power hoist, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
  • Cleans materials by hand or with cleaning equipment.
  • Immerses objects in washing and rinsing solutions to remove debris.
  • Fills tanks with water to specified level. Pours specified quantity of soap or chemicals into water.
  • Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintains equipment and working area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Education and/or Experience

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Education and Experience:

      High school diploma or general education degree (GED); up to one month of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Mathematical

      Skills:

      Ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to use simple mathematical and geometric devices, such as calculators, calipers, scales, measuring tapes, etc.
    • Mandatory Work Keys Ready:
      Work Keys ACT Score (Applied Math – 3, Graphic Literacy – 4, Workplace Observation –
      2).
