Shift: 2nd Shift (3:30PM-12AM)

Pay: $20.61/hr

Position Summary

The Southern States LLC Plating Room Operator 4 cleans and gauges parts post electro-tinning, assembles shunts and prepares them for tin dipping, and coats various parts with tin or paint.

How You Will Add Value

Processes orders in accordance with production schedules to meet customer demands.

Maintains working area in a clean, safe and orderly condition.

Interprets blueprints to fabricate shunts. Including but not limited to cutting material, pressing parts in the hydraulic press, and preparing and tin dipping shunt ends.

Preparing parts for the tin dipping process and tin dipping them.

Preparing parts for paint and painting them in the paint booth.

Buffing silver on electroplated parts.

Gauging contacts that have been buffed and verifying they conform to specifications.

Education and/or Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers. Ability to use simple mathematical devices, such as, measuring tapes or ruler.

Mandatory Work Keys Ready

Work Keys ACT Score (Applied Math – 3, Graphic Literacy – 4, Workplace Observation –
2).
