The Southern States LLC Bender Threader4 performs repetitive bench subassembly and assembly operations by performing the following duties.

• Read job order for specifications such as material, type, and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut.
• Obtain and transfer stock to machine.
• Install saw blade and set blade tension and cutting speed for specified operation.
• Set saw blade angle to obtain desired angle cuts.
• Set stops and guides for manual feed saw or set feed mechanism for automatic feed saw to control dimension of cut.
• Position and secure stock against stops or in feeding device.
• Ensure proper coolant flow against cutting area.
• Start machine and observe operation.
• Inspect dimensions of work pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Replace defective cutting blade or wheel.
• Properly identify raw material remnants by established color‑code system.
• Compile dimensions, type and size of thread needed from charts, drawings and specification sheets.
• Select, install, and adjust threading die, die cutters and chamfering tools into threading machine.
• Insert pre‑cut stock and position and secure stock in chuck jaws.
• Start machine and move hand wheel or lever to feed stock into threading die.
• Inspect threaded dimensions of work pieces for conformance to specifications.
• Select and install proper die block, guides and stops to manual bender.
• Measure workpiece and mark bend locations.
• Position workpiece against end stop. Lock holding clamp and guide clamp onto workpiece.
• Using hand lever, bend workpiece around die block until stopped by plug stops.
• Inspect bent workpiece for proper length and degree of bend.
• Maintain equipment and working area in a clean and orderly condition.

• High school diploma or GED; one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Mathematical skills: ability to add and subtract whole numbers, fractions and decimals; use of simple mathematical devices such as calculators, scales, measuring tapes, etc.

• Work Keys ACT Score (Applied Math – 4, Graphic Literacy – 4, Workplace Observation – 2).
