Description
Devereux is seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist willing to learn trade skills and basic maintenance knowledge in HVAC, electrical, light construction, safety inspections, OSHA, and hospital regulations.
As a Maintenance Specialist you will be expected to work independently and demonstrate a thorough understanding of trade skills necessary for operation within the department and center.
Responsibilities- Maintain equipment and tools in proper working conditions and ensure proper storage.
- Use time and materials efficiently.
- Select and request materials required to perform assignments.
- Complete work order documentation timely and accurately.
- Keep work and shop areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform comprehensive maintenance duties including carpentry, electrical work, lawn care, painting, patching/plastering, plumbing, welding, HVAC, and locksmith work.
- Lead maintenance staff on projects related to technical expertise.
- Acquire proper materials under supervision, identify needs, and recommend alternative solutions.
- Keep annual training and certifications up to date.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; must be 21 years of age.
- Valid driver's license.
- At least one year of semi-skilled maintenance and repair experience in carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical, fire alarm, locksmith, mechanics, and general trades.

- Complete a 2‑week paid training program (8:30‑5:30 pm) on our Kennesaw campus.
- Undergo background checks and comply with drug‑free workplace policies.
