Receptionist (Administrative)
Compass of Hope is seeking a warm, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to support our Hampton outpatient mental health office on a 30‑hour per week basis. This position serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors and plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, professional, and supportive clinical environment.
The ideal candidate is dependable, calm under pressure, highly organized, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced behavioral health setting. This role requires professionalism, discretion, and a strong commitment to client‑centered care and confidentiality.
Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 12PM-6PM;
Wednesday and Friday: 10:00AM - 4:00PM
- Greet clients and visitors in a warm, professional, and supportive manner
- Serve as the first point of contact for in‑person, phone, and electronic inquiries
- Maintain a calm, respectful presence while supporting clients with varying emotional and behavioral health needs
- Uphold strict confidentiality and full HIPAA compliance at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front‑office environment
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments accurately using the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Manage incoming calls and route messages appropriately to clinical and administrative staff
- Support front‑office workflows, documentation, and general administrative processes
- Maintain accurate client records and clear, professional written communication
- Monitor provider schedules for accuracy and communicate conflicts or concerns promptly
- Assist with day‑to‑day office operations to ensure smooth client flow
- Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative team members
- Identify operational needs or concerns and communicate them to leadership
- Support supply management and general office organization
