CATEGORY: Machine Operator II
SCHEDULE:
Monday – Thursday, 7am – 5pm.
With minimal supervision sets up, operates and performs color compound batch assembly and extrusion. Keeps necessary records. Works to written and verbal instructions. Acts to maintain the integrity of processes and final product quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Weigh, blend and extrude colored pigment pellets for the production of spun fibers
- Locate and adjust inventory of raw materials using E-1 programs
- Produce fabric samples for review by internal personnel and external customers utilizing the 1” extruder and pilot equipment (draw bench, card, loom and dilo)
- Compare samples to target master's on the Datacolor color compo under
- Performs other duties as required
- The ability to understand written and verbal instructions
- The ability to utilize basic E-1 programs
- Basic hazardous communication
- PPE
- On the job safety review
- High school graduate
- 1 year of previous extruder experience preferred
- Frequent standing, walking, ladder climbing
- Frequent lifting of buckets to 30lbs
- Frequent manipulation of pigment drums to 300lbs
- Frequent manipulation of pigment gaylords to 90lbs
