JOB TITLE: Fabric Line Certified Operator
REPORTS TO: Fabric Team Leader
CATEGORY: Operator III
SHIFT: Day or night shift available. 12-hour days, flexible schedule – full-time with excellent benefits.
Responsibilities- Lead by example in safety, conduct, policy, and work ethic
- Maintain the integrity of processes and products with focus on safety, quality, and production
- Read and interpret assembly prints and basic blueprints
- Respond appropriately to system, process or material problems
- Perform required inventory functions (inquiries, updates, transactions, certifications)
- Train and mentor new associates in process and line operation
- Perform Daily Team Maintenance activities
- Monitor and maintain dynamic air flow and filtration systems
- Develop Visual Work Instructions
- Develop and perform tasks for product changeover to Standard Work Instructions
- Perform complex fiber blending and color corrections
- Monitor and maintain department 5-S standards
- Perform TPM activities
- Read and interpret complex HMI operation systems
- Follow written Work Order instructions using proper materials
- Follow written SOC (Standard Operating Condition) maintaining quality and machine throughput
- Follow written SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) using correct packaging materials and tools
- Perform tasks for product changeover and startup
- Operate high-volume manufacturing equipment with appropriate hand tools
- Use efficient time management to increase machine uptime
- Prioritize internal and external job functions to minimize downtime
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge in fabric processes and troubleshooting
- Understand all job hazards and demonstrate safe behaviors
- Data entry for material use, finished goods, run time and downtime
- Perform required quality assurance testing and data entry
- Pass written and demonstrative tests
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Occasional lifting
