Position:
Host/Hostess
The host is responsible for greeting and seating all customers entering the restaurant. A hostess may also collect payment, take orders, serve drinks or food, and assist restaurant staff as needed.
- Greet and seat guests as they enter the restaurant.
- Handle reservations, put customers on a waiting list, and provide menus.
- Show guests to their seats and ensure they feel welcome.
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer queries about the restaurant and menu.
- Assist various restaurant staff when necessary.
- Handle opening and closing duties as assigned.
- Collect payment when required and take orders.
