Job Title:
Plumber – HVAC Install Department
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our HVAC Install Department. This position is responsible for installing, modifying, and commissioning plumbing systems that support HVAC equipment, including boilers, hydronic heating systems, water heaters, piping systems, and related components. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial plumbing installations and thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Install and connect plumbing systems for HVAC equipment (boilers, hydronic systems, water heaters, heat pumps, etc.)
- Perform layout, assembly, and installation of piping systems (copper, PEX, PVC, black iron)
- Install gas lines, water supply lines, and drainage systems as required for HVAC equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications
- Ensure all installations meet local plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Coordinate with HVAC installers, electricians, and project managers to complete jobs efficiently
- Pressure test and inspect systems for leaks and proper operation
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding installation details when needed
- Complete required documentation accurately and on time
- Valid plumbing license (Journeyman or equivalent preferred, depending on state requirements)
- 3+ years of plumbing installation experience (HVAC-related experience preferred)
- Valid NH Gas license
- Experience with hydronic heating systems strongly preferred
- Knowledge of local plumbing and gas codes
- Ability to read blueprints and mechanical plans
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces or on ladders
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Experience installing boilers and indirect water heaters
- Experience with radiant floor heating systems
- Brazing and soldering proficiency
- Backflow certification (if applicable)
- OSHA safety training
- Commercial job sites
- Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and kneeling
