- Serves as secretary for the school's counseling department.
- Performs general clerical tasks in an efficient and accurate manner.
- Maintains and uses information in databases and maintains accurate files and records.
- Assists with master scheduling.
- Interacts with students, parents and others in a professional manner.
- Manages multiple tasks with many interruptions.
- Handles confidential documents in a professional manner.
- Performs related work as required.
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- At least three years of work experience in an office environment involving public contact (for external candidates only).
- Experience working at a school is desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of standard office procedures, practices and equipment.
- Ability to operate and perform tasks on standard office equipment; computers, fax, telephone, printers, copiers, etc.
- Good communication and human relation skills.
- Requires excellent typing skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word/Excel), preferably in a Macintosh environment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public.
- Physical dexterity to perform assigned duties.
