Job Description

First Team Hampton Chevrolet is a leader in Customer Service—our award‑winning Service Department is urgently looking for a Service Porter.

We seek an enthusiastic, customer service‑oriented individual to join our team.

Job Responsibilities
  • Move vehicles from the service write‑up area to designated parking locations.
  • Return vehicles to customers after service, ensuring the vehicle is clean, in good working order, and thanking the customer.
  • Monitor parking and accessibility to the service entrance at all times, making inquiries as needed to keep driveways clear.
  • Shuttle customers to and from the First Team dealership.
  • Transport vehicles to other dealerships.
  • Perform any other duties needed to provide unequaled excellence in customer service.
Job Requirements
  • Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations.
  • Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles.
  • Minimum age 18 years.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Self‑starter with proven ability to identify opportunities to improve dealership and customer satisfaction.
  • High level of initiative and teamwork ability.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Adhere to company attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Record shift start and end times, meal breaks, and personal departures.
  • Maintain the company’s appearance and decorum.
  • Follow the company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and good driving record.
Working Conditions
  • Position requires frequent movement—bending, lifting, reaching, squatting, and entering and exiting vehicles during the shift.
